Directions and Map
As in the past, we ask Parade participants to gather at the Fire House on King Street at 1:00 PM for the parade through the Borough of Malvern, ending up in Memorial Park for our Veterans’ Memorial Program. Following are a map and directions to Malvern Fire House and the Parade.
The easiest ways to Malvern are the Expressway or Blue Route:
From the east:
Travel west to the end of the Schuylkill Expressway, at King of Prussia, take the 202 South exit. Travel about 3 miles south to the Paoli - 252 South exit. Proceed south on route 252 into Paoli to the intersection with route 30 (about 2 miles). Turn right onto route 30 ( Lancaster Ave.), proceed west through seven traffic lights to the “Y” intersection with King Road. The intersection has Basil’s Restaurant on one side, and an AAmco Transmission on the other. At the intersection, bear left onto King Road and proceed into the Borough of Malvern (1+ mile). The Fire House on your left.
From the Expressway it should take 20 minutes to get to the Fire House.
From the west:
Exit the PA Turnpike at Downingtown, travel south on Route 100 to Exton. At the intersection with Route 30 turn left and proceed (east) about 5 miles to the intersection with Route 352. Turn right (south) onto 352, proceed to the first traffic light (about ½ mi) and turn left onto King Road. Proceed east on King Road into Malvern. Approximately ½ mile past the first traffic light ( Warren Ave.) the Fire House will be on your right.
To reach Memorial Park, travel past the Fire House, and proceed to the first traffic light, Warren Ave., turn left at the intersection. Turn at the next right, Monument Ave. The Memorial Park is ½ mile on the left.
From the Turnpike is should take 20 minutes to get to the Fire House.
From the north or south:
On the Blue Route (476), take exit #5 - St. Davids/Radnor to route 30 West (Lancaster Ave.). Proceed west on route 30 into Paoli (about 10 miles) and follow the above directions.
From the Blue Route exit, it should take 30-35 minutes depending on traffic. |
